Return to Training - Step 1
/Training will commence with restrictions next week, starting Tuesday 19 May 2020.
Please read the information below carefully as we all need to ensure that they are strictly adhered to by everyone (coaches, players and parents/guardians).
Anyone found breaching the rules will have training cancelled as we want to ensure that we protect the safety of all of our players and members. Members of the committee will be monitoring activities to ensure we remain compliant. SA Police will also be monitoring these activities and any breach will incur hefty fines for both the Club and individuals.
Some revised non-contact drills will be held by your coach over training sessions that do not last for more than 60 minutes. No games will be allowed.
We also ask for your cooperation with regards to the training group that your child will be allocated in. The coaches from each age group will separately communicate with you regarding which group your child and playing zone they will be allocated in for this short term training arrangement.
The aim of this return to training is purely to get the players back on the ground and to start to get back into some normal level of football discipline. We do not want to hear debates over where they are playing, who is taking the session, which side they are in etc. If you do not wish to participate in training until football returns back to normal, please feel free to make that choice but also let the coaching staff know of your decision.
Main points - see below but also please download and read the complete list of requirements from this lnk.
If someone is unwell or has been unwell in the past 14 days – stay home
Each team is to be split into groups with maximum 10 players per group plus 1 coach = 11 persons per training area max. The training area will be a third of a normal pitch and areas will be marked out.
Each group of players must have their own coach. Coaches cannot move between the groups
The coach for each team is responsible for organising an assistant coach for the second group (and in some cases, third group) if applicable
The groups must stay within their allocated areas at all times
The groups must not mix at any stage – before, during or after training.
Social distancing is to be implemented – 1.5m between players at all times
No spitting at any time. Anyone caught spitting will be sent home and training will need to be cancelled for the whole group.
Minimise the handling of any equipment and use sanitiser during breaks.
Training must start and finish on time as per the schedule; no social activity to take place before or after. Get in, train, and get out.
Players must come to training ready to go, not more than 15 minutes before training and stay in your car 5 minutes before training to avoid gatherings.
Players must bring their own, clearly marked, water bottle
Water bottles to be placed outside of playing area, spread out to avoid gatherings at breaks
If bibs are used, they must not be shared. Each player will be responsible for their bib to take home and clean. The bibs need to be returned back to the Club when normal football returns.
One parent/guardian per player, to remain in the car
Also note:
Each team will be allocated sanitiser; this must be used by all players and coaches before and after training.
One sanitised toilet will be available in the referee’s room and is to be used as single use only.
No access to any changing or treatment rooms
Training schedule - Please download the allocated training times from this link.
To fit all groups in, and allow for a changeover, there will be an early and a late session. Note the different training times for U6–U10, to allow their training to finish earlier.
We look forward to getting everyone back on the park and respectfully following the rules above.
Thanks
